Innovative infill housing on a tight urban site with a brief to reduce CO2 emissions and address issues of fuel poverty. 8 flats in a 4-storey timber framed tenement with breathing wall construction incorporating recycled and low-toxin materials including sheep’s wool insulation. Communal gas boiler with underfloor heating to all flats and solar hot water. Maximum use of natural daylighting and solar gain, including top floor sunspace.
